The 2015
Event

The Bath Christian Festival is a lively event that shows how the Christian faith can be exciting and life changing.

Held in the heart of Bath at the Parade Gardens, the event features vibrant music and real life stories of how faith has helped people overcome challenging situations.

Last year, music was provided by a brilliant black gospel/soul band called Echo. Their performance caused many people in the park and others who watched from the balustrade, to dance, clap and sway to the rhythm. So Echo have been enlisted to come back again and perform for the Bath Christian Festival 2016!

The main speaker at last year’s event was Lisa Potts, a former nursery teacher who saved the children under her care when her school was attacked by a man wielding a machete. Lisa talked about how her faith helped her to deal with the crisis and the injuries she sustained.

This year, speakers from Teen Challenge UK will be talking about their experiences. Teen Challenge is built on Christian values and has helped thousands of young people tackle serious addictions - with a large majority of them going on to live successful, drug free lives. Young people will explain how their faith helped them to break their addictions.

The Bath Christian Festival is led by Stepping Stones Church which meets at the YMCA in Bath. This is a church tailored to meet the needs of marginalised people, including those that are homeless. Stepping Stones is a part of International Gospel Outreach and the Vice President will be opening the Festival.

Members of other local churches come and help run the Bath Christian Festival. At the event there are marquees with displays from local and national Christian organisations.

Everyone is welcome to attend and entrance is free.
